Are
you a beginning triathlete? Do you want to
do your first triathlon? We will be
offering a pre-tri clinic preparing you for the
Rose City Triathlon. scheduled for
Saturday, September 3, 2011.
The
clinic starts at 8:00 AM at
Lake Tyler West
where we will do each portion of the event with
time in between to explain successful
transitions (registration begins at 7:30). This training is geared for
beginners but seasoned triathletes are welcome
to attend to get a feel for the actual RCT
course. The clinics will be
conducted by
John Cobb,
internationally known bike fitting expert.
We will have kayaks available to use with the
swim (for your comfort and security).
Because of USAT insurance regulations the
clinic must be USAT sanctioned. To
participate, you will have to be an annual
USAT member or purchase a $10 one day USAT
membership at the clinic. If you do plan on
participating in the Rose City Triathlon, we
encourage you to purchase an annual USAT
membership (http://www.usatriathlon.org/member-services)
so you do not have to pay for a 1-day
membership that day as well.
1) Free to participants who have signed up for the Rose City
Triathlon BEFORE the clinic on September 3,
2011.
2) $5 for club members who have NOT signed
up for RCT (unless you are a volunteer)
3) $10 for non club members who have NOT
signed up for RCT.
The fees are confusing but basically we are
offering the clinic free for those who've already
signed up for the triathlon. East Texas
Triathlete club members can do the clinic
free if they have signed up for the
triathlon and do not have to pay the one day
USAT membership fee since they are covered
under our USAT club insurance. If you are interested
