SAFETY

CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Rose City Triathlon is USA Triathlon sanctioned and perfect for novice as well as professional triathletes. We will have plenty of kayaks and lifeguards on hand during the swim available for athletes. Trinity Mother Frances EMS staff and physicians will be present and prepared for any medical emergencies. Open water swimming can be scary for even seasoned athletes, and we recommend following a training program as well as swimming in the open water before race day. All athletes should consult their physician before beginning an endurance training program. For tips on training, click here (link to training page).

WATER/HYDRATION STOPS

We will have three water stops available starting at the bike/run transition and then two additional stops on the run course. Athletes are encouraged to bring their own water bottles on the bike.

WETSUITS

The water temperature is typically between 80-83 degrees during this time of the year. Wetsuits are not allowed unless the water is 78 degrees or below.
